Aline Foriel-Destezet

Aline Foriel-Destezet has been involved for many years with artists, musical groups and institutions who bring culture to life in France and Europe. After falling in love with the location, she supported the development stages of La Grange au Lac and enabled the realisation of its major enhancements. 

Her discovery of this concert hall awakened in her a profound admiration for the work of its architect, Patrick Bouchain, and the desire to create a concert hall in collaboration with him. They explored various possibilities, though none proved satisfactory. Several years later, the Évian Resort extended an unprecedented proposal: a partnership to build a concert hall of which she would be the founder, as part of a broader musical project: Les Mélèzes. By then a major patron of the Rencontres Musicales d’Évian, she joyfully accepted this opportunity, as a natural continuation of her unwavering dedication.

Through the vision and dedication of this great philanthropist, a new concert hall named La Source Vive, of which she is the founder, designed by Patrick Bouchain in collaboration with Philippe Chiambaretta, has come into being. This vibrant venue, symbol of her passion for music, will be brought to life all year round by various key events, under the artistic direction of Renaud Capuçon and Alexandre Hémardinquer. A true place of creation at the cutting-edge of technology, it will host a wide diversity of art forms: chamber music, recitals, opera, dance, theatre, literature, and more, all brought together under optimal conditions to serve a single ambition: artistic excellence. 

For Aline Foriel-Destezet, this intimate setting with its enveloping configuration is the dreamed-for opportunity to establish a unique proximity between the artists and their audiences, offering an endless choice of musical experiences for all. A space, rooted in the Évian area, designed to reach as many people as possible, with a particular focus on educational and social projects. 

This venue reflects the desire of its founder to create an inspiring atmosphere, where the principles of sharing and the transfer of passion and expertise find a home. A concert hall fostering the flourishing of a new generation of artists alongside the greatest musicians, symbolising the realisation of a dream she has fostered for music for many years.
 

The Les Mélèzes - les Saisons musicales d'Évian association

Founded in 2025 by the A. Foriel-Destezet Endowment Fund, and chaired by Jean-Yves Kaced, the Les Mélèzes – Les Saisons musicales d’Évian association is dedicated to developing an ambitious cultural project in Évian, centered around La Grange au Lac and La Source Vive, in the service of the public interest. In this capacity, it is committed to gathering patrons - individuals and companies - who support the Mélèzes season, its concerts, its educational projects, and its initiatives for the transfer of expertise to young artists.
