La Source Vive has the honour of opening the 2026 edition and setting the tone for this year's Rencontres Musicales d’Évian which henceforth will be distributed across two venues. The new concert hall which has emerged next to La Grange au Lac will provide a natural home for chamber music, and this season, it proposes a close companionship with Brahms. From his second piano quartet composed at the age of thirty to his final sonata for violin and piano, a mature work dating from the composer's final stay at his Swiss retreat at Lake Thun, this concert is also the first in a series of encounters with Brahms. The chance to discover a sumptuous line-up of inspired performers of all generations, in various configurations and joined by others throughout the festival.
