LES TALENS LYRIQUES
CHRISTOPHE ROUSSET conductor
KEY’MON MURRAH countertenor
HANDEL Arias, overtures and interludes from the operas Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Rodrigo, Serse, Ariodante and Rinaldo
Still little known in Europe, the name of Key’mon Murrah is already making waves on the leading opera and concert stages across the Atlantic, crowned with first prize at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. The American countertenor was acclaimed for the beauty and intensity of his tone, the virtuosity and flexibility of his singing, in repertoires ranging from baroque and bel canto to the contemporary. He shares a distinct fondness for Handel with Christophe Rousset's ensemble Les Talens Lyriques, with whom he embarks on an extensive tour this season in France and the USA. Together, they showcase a festival of the Saxon composer's most beautiful opera arias, from his youthful days in Italy through to his London triumphs.
